Wonderful experience from start to finish.
The service was delivered by a primary midwife and some of her team colleagues as ‘buddies.’ Throughout the antenatal period there was a high level of knowledge, expertise and personalised care offered to me and during the delivery of my baby boy.
I was listened to and guided through the process by my primary midwife with excellent skill, deep wisdom, empathy and compassion.
The great care continued after my baby boy was delivered, with the primary midwife and some of her colleagues completing the home visits to ensure that post-birth both my baby and I, and the rest of the family, were recovering well.
I feel extremely lucky to have had such a positive antenatal, birth and postnatal experience. I would recommend the MGP5 service and the King Edward Memorial Hospital midwifery service more generally to every woman.
