"Not being able to contact family member in hospital"

About: Lyell McEwin Hospital

(as a service user),

Family member admitted to Lyall MAC hospital. Mobile phone reception I felt was very poor & unable to contact person. Contact to ward- I believe all phones they have available were in use in ward at the time I rang - so again unable to contact family member.

Health of person is relayed back by someone visiting in person. Quite disappointing I feel, in this day & age that hospital hasn’t got enough land phones to accommodate ward patients. This happened recently and has been happening for 5 days - poor mobile connections for patients in hospital.
