"At home midwifery care"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Community Midwifery Program

(as the patient),

After we were discharged from hospital following a straightforward birth, we were visited at home by midwife Tamara for four consecutive days. She was extremely professional and immediately put us all at ease with her manner, knowledge and sensitivity. She really took the time to understand any issues we were experiencing with our newborn and my postpartum recovery, and followed through with useful and practical advice to assist us through the early days.

I can’t rate this service highly enough - the visits were thorough and reassuring - and we didn’t have to leave the house!

Dear triangulumep67,

Thank you for your comments on the Care Opinion site and congratulations on the birth of your child.

The Visiting Midwifery Service plays an important part in the postnatal care we are able to provide to women following the birth of their baby. It is lovely to hear that you were able to get the advice, support and follow-up you needed from Tamara.

Thank you for sharing your story and we will be sure to send your appreciative comments to Tamara.

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
