Hi

My partner is a patient at Kalgoorlie Hospital.

They have mobility issues and is confined to a wheelchair. They enjoy a visit to the garden area and there is a very nice rotunda between A and B wards. Our problem is there are 3 tables with built-in seating and none that are accessible to someone in a wheelchair, where they could enjoy a cuppa or engage in any other activities requiring a table. I feel sure there are other wheelchair-bound patients who would appreciate this amenity.

I am very pleased to advise that our Engineering staff have today modified one of the tables to allow for wheelchair access.

Once again, thank you for bringing this to our attention. The change you suggested will benefit many other wheelchair-bound patients having treatment at Kalgoorlie Hospital.
