"Not being appointed a back up facilitator"

About: Lives Lived Well – Mirikai Residential (Gold Coast)

(as a parent/guardian),

I have just collected my adult child from Mirikai after the first few weeks of the 6 week program. They met their treatment facilitator once only in that time, they went interstate for Easter and was not going to be back for a few weeks. With a 6 week program, I would have expected a back up treatment facilitator to be appointed. Although my child did attend classes while there, they hadn't had an appointment with a psychologist/psychiatrist and was told this could take a few weeks.

Hello skytf38,

Thank you for making a post about your adult child's experience at Mirikai. It is disappointing to hear that their experience was not what they and you had hoped for and I apologise for that.

At Lives Lived Well we want to follow up in these situations where our service has not met expectations. The goal is to remedy situations where this can be done and to improve our services over time.

To assist us with this process the Client Service Manager at Mirikai, Ms Vicky Raabe, would appreciate if you could contact her directly on 0438 159 519 in order to understand the specific details of the situation you have described. She realises this may be difficult for you to do but would be grateful if you could call her.

Kind regards,

Gerard
