"Getting clean"

About: Lives Lived Well - Woolloongabba

(as a service user),

I am an indigenous woman in my 40s. I have previously had time up from engaging in rehab before but struggled during COVID and relapsed. My experience with Woolloongabba day program is that it was up and down at the start as I struggled to get there and be on time. This last two weeks I feel like I have been more focused on my recovery and more serious about it. This has helped me pay attention in groups and now I have a lot of tools that I have left with and can now use/do use throughout my days. When I first got here I was a bit of a mess but I believe the program helped me grow and get more in touch with my feelings.

Thank you to Woolloongabba day program for all their support and time.

Hello craterjp86,

Thank you for your comments about your experience at Lives Lived Well's Woolloongabba Day Rehab. As you describe it is sometimes a challenge to get into a new routine, meet new people and deal with your own inner struggles.

It takes courage to persist through this part of rehab and recovery. It is good to hear the last couple of weeks were more settled and you were able to engage in the program and gain benefit from the tools and plans it offers.

I wish you all the best as you take this knowledge and skills and make it part of your daily life.

Regards

Gerard
