"Excellent Care at Broome Hospital"

I presented to the Broome Hospital Emergency Department recently with severe abdominal pain. The care I received over the next few weeks from several teams at Broome Hospital was excellent. 

Thank you to Dr Bronte, Dr David, and the ED nurses. Given my severe pain, I was able to be seen and managed immediately. They did a thorough assessment and referred me onto the Gynaecology Team at Broome Hospital. From there, the care, compassion, and thoroughness of Dr Jarred, Dr Elizabeth, and especially Dr Ruth was outstanding. Their communication was great and kept me in the loop at every opportunity. They provided excellent education which empowered me to be a part of the decision-making of my care. Their follow-up was great, with regular phone calls and timely outpatient appointments. 

On the ward, my Nurses Chantelle and Mercy were amazing. They listened to my concerns and made me feel valued and cared for. The Theatre Nurses were also so caring and made me feel calm and safe. 

Despite being in a rural area, the care I received at Broome Hospital was second to none. I am grateful to have received such specialty service without having to travel to Perth. Thank you to all who were involved in my care.
