"Appendicitis misdiagnosis"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub / Urgent Care Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

My partner took my child to the Cowes Drop in Centre twice because of their abdominal pain. The first time a doctor told them it was thrush and sent my child away to my partner’s disagreement. The second visit, a different doctor told them it was a UTI to my partner’s disagreement.

My partner then took my child to another hospital who diagnosed it to be a ruptured appendix which they removed and, as I understand it, told my partner my child may not have survived the night if they had not operated.

I believe any parent reading this would probably understand how I feel about our 2 visits to the Cowes Drop in Centre.
