"Telehealth experience"

I'd like to share my experience of a recent tele medicine appointment.

My GP referred me to a specialist in Perth to arrange appointment at Exmouth Hospital over a video link up. Unsure of whether it could be similar to if I were to be speaking in person, I spoke with the telehealth team at Geraldton Hospital who put me at ease, and I was then quite confident of attending the appointment.

I felt the experience during the meeting was brilliant and I didn't experience anything different except it would save me taking time off work, arrange travel and all other things that comes with it including the recent restrictions in Perth.

My blood test was done at the hospital prior and the results were given online to the Dr. In my experience, the staff at Exmouth Hospital was wonderful. It is valuable to know that we had this technology here, and when I knew that I could attend at any hospital in Gascoyne region, as I do travel a lot, that adds to the flexibility.
