I am hard of hearing.

Receptionist taking my health history and personal details.

Receptionist wearing face mask, inside a closed window, asking questions looking at the keyboard. I found it very difficult to hear them, they proceeded to raise they voice.

I believe the receptionist wasn’t very happy, in fact they told me that they were losing their voice trying to communicate with me. I found the whole ordeal very embarrassing and thought that they could have been more empathetic. Please help the people hard of hearing to feel more comfortable in what can be a very stressful environment.
