"Scheduled C-Section"

I recently had my son via scheduled C-Section at Liverpool hospital and honestly, I could not have had a more positive experience. 

After a traumatic first birthing experience at another hospital, I was nervous to do it all again but this time around I need not have worried.

After attending the antenatal clinic throughout the duration of my pregnancy the safest option for me was to have a planned C-Section. It could not have gone more smoothly. On the morning of the procedure there was a delay going into the actual theatre but being a public hospital I expected it. However, what made the experience so lovely and positive was all the wonderful staff: the midwives, the nurses, the surgeons, the anaesthetists, the administrative staff. Everyone was so lovely, helpful and caring even though I felt you could see they were understaffed and had hefty workloads.

I felt listened to and well cared for and although the bathroom facilities were a bit older everything was clean.

I would absolutely recommend the antenatal and maternity services at Liverpool Hospital based on the experience I had.
