"Care at all levels at Bunbury Hospital ED"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a friend),

My friend’s husband suffered a major heart attack late in the afternoon recently. After resuscitation by St John Ambulance paramedics, he and my friend arrived at Bunbury Hospital ED. As I understand it, my friend was scared and distraught when she arrived at the hospital.

The care and compassion received by my friend and her husband were outstanding.

She reported to me that the teamwork of staff at all levels saved her husband’s life. She was particularly moved by the action of a security guard who noticed how upset she was, brought her a chair and invited her to sit down. She is so grateful for the service provided and the level of care shown at Bunbury Hospital and asked me to report her experience.

Dear errandxk74,

Thank you so much for your feedback on Care Opinion. Coming to a hospital at any time can be a very frightening experience, particularly when there is a life-threatening condition occurring.

It is wonderful to hear that the team members at the hospital worked so well together to provide timely and compassionate care.

Thank you also for sharing the care experience about the Security Officer who supported in such a caring way –we really value the care provide by all team members and will ensure we share this feedback with the staff.

I do hope that your friend’s husband is recovering well.

Kind regards,

Steve Hartwig

Acting Director of Emergency Medicine
