"Hypnobirthing"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Maternity Telehealth Service - WACHS Midwest

(as a service user),

I attended the hypnobirthing class in Geraldton recently. It was a great service and very helpful, especially for a first timer and not knowing what to expect. The class went into depth, informed us on all the different options available to us and really settled my nerves about going into labour.

I wish my doctor had told me about it so we could've done it earlier in the pregnancy. Then we could've had more time to practice the techniques.

Thank you so much for your feedback on the program, pelicanyk65.

I am so glad that you enjoyed the Positive Birth Program through Geraldton Hospital. We have been running this program via Telehealth for over 1 year and Geraldton are the second hospital within WA Country Health Service to launch the program face to face! We are seeing some fabulous results from those who have attended the program.

I am sorry you did not hear about the Hypnobirthing Program until later in your pregnancy. Most of the Drs in Geraldton are aware of the program but perhaps not aware of how useful it was to you. It may be useful for you to share with your GP how beneficial the program was, so they feel more comfortable referring women to it going forward.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Warm Regards,

Kasey Biggar
