"Exceptional care received in ED"

I received amazing care from a particular nurse that I believe deserves recognition. Her name was Donna and she was working the shift recently in the Short Stay Unit. Based on my experience, she was incredibly exceptional.

She was warm, caring, compassionate and made me feel okay. I was having a very hard time dealing with pain, not having family in the hospital and she came over and spoke to me and told me everything was going to be okay. Her manner and amazing attitude in which she provided care towards me immediately put me at ease and I felt safe in her care. In my opinion, she deserves to get as much work as possible because I believe hospital emergency departments need people like her.

I have been sick off and on for years and never have I come across someone that made me feel like family and made me feel so emotionally and mentally okay. She made a huge difference to me and my day. Her hug was so warm and so genuine. She truly is an amazing nurse. I really would like her to receive some recognition because I feel she goes out of her way to help, way beyond her job description in my opinion. I have no doubt there would be many stories like mine from people she has cared for.
