"ED and AMU"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Acute Medical Unit Royal Perth Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I went into RPH ED with altered sensation and pain in my arms and legs. It was my first trip in an ambulance, and the drivers were very reassuring. Thanks Kira and Ven.

I felt the staff were fantastic. I believe it was a busy day in the department, but I felt that I got the all the care and attention I needed. The young doctor who assessed me was very kind. My symptoms were non-specific and he told me that he loved a good mystery, which made me smile in the middle of everything that was going on for me.

I was transferred to the Adult Medical Unit and all the staff there were kind, compassionate and thorough. They communicated about what was happening and why, and the next steps.

Thanks to everyone who looked after me. You were there when I needed you.

You are superstars.
