In my 77 years I had been lucky enough to not need emergency treatment. But twice in about two months I needed to visit ED at Collie Hospital.

The first occasion a few months ago was about 20 bee stings on my face and while I am not allergic I thought the location of the stings warranted advice from experts. Excellent interaction with the nurses on duty who, I believe, asked all the right questions about how I was feeling etc (I knew a little bit about bee keeping). Neither had seen a bee sting before so I am glad to have been able to add to their professional development.

A more recent occasion a crushed hand required attention. Again, I felt, excellent attention from an experienced medical professional with a program for ongoing care.

In both cases waiting time was minimal -I know that is the luck of the draw.

My message is to convey the absolute confidence I felt with the treatment on both occasions.

Collie Hospital is lucky to have such great staff working in our hospital.

I’m glad we were able to help you when you needed it and thank you for helping our staff with gaining some experience with the unfortunate side effects of our honey-making friends.

I also trust that your hand is on the mend, and I'm glad that our emergency department has given you confidence in our services.

Hopefully, you won’t need to use them for another 77 years!
