Hi. I wish to compliment the NUM, Nursing staff & Drs in the Emergency Department for the care they gave to my son on two recent occasions. Out of nowhere, my teenage son has had a number of seizures which has been very distressing for him and for my wife & me including my other two children.
On both occasions attending the ED, my son was extremely unwell. The admin employee could see how distressed I was & how unwell my son was. She alerted the nursing staff who triaged my son immediately and got him into a cubicle very quickly. My son's condition worsened before it improved allowing us to return home after a few hours of care & observation.
On the 2nd occasion, my son arrived via ambulance and experienced the same excellent care as above.
The staff involved were fantastic. It seemed they were having a very busy stressful night and were able to care for my son as if he was the only patient there.
I have passed on my gratitude to the staff involved including the NUM.
