I would like to pass the message on, from when I was in Sydney Eye Hospital (ward 1B). I went through two surgeries on my left eye due to macular degeneration and the specialist and surgeon that were treating me were perfect. My compliments to all the nurses and staff and even the cleaning ladies and the ladies that come around asking what I want for breakfast.
Everything was tremendous and I felt it was like living in a 5 staff hotel. The NUM’s name was Dr or Mr Tai, and the surgical team were terrific. Everything was fine and all the staff were fantastic, even during my discharge. The physios were also very helpful and assisted me with walking around due to my bad eyesight. It was such a bonus! They’re all really good and based on my experience, I think people don’t have to be scared to go in for surgery because I strongly believe the surgical staff and nurses are all there to help you.
"The wonderful team on Ward 1B"
