"MGP4 level of care"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

The level of care we received from MGP4 was incredible. Our midwives Katie & Leanne were absolute professionals, we feel they really are special people & we are forever grateful for their help in bringing our beautiful daughter into this world safely.

Being part of MGP4 not only made our birthing experience amazing but it bought a sense of support and calmness throughout our entire pregnancy. Knowing that we had someone in our corner for the entire journey was incredibly reassuring, especially as a first time mum having to deal with so many unknowns.

If I could’ve written the script for our birth, I would’ve written it exactly as it played out. Leanne was the captain we needed and she managed myself, my husband, our birth support person and of course our baby perfectly. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the way she was able to manage the risk, the intensity and the emotions from early labor right through until I was holding my precious daughter in my arms.

For both my husband and I, we couldn’t have felt more supported and more appreciative for the positive, safe and memorable birth that we were so fortunate to experience at King Edwards.

And just when we didn’t think it could get any better, we were blown away by the post natal care that we received.

Finally we understand how fortunate we were to be selected to be part of MGP4 and in hindsight it’s scary to imagine going through this without this program. We feel strongly that this program should be available to all families that are navigating the overwhelming and life changing experience of child birth.

Dear WinNight,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS). Congratulations on the birth of your first baby!

I am extremely pleased to hear that you felt so supported throughout your pregnancy and birthing journey. We are incredibly proud of the service that our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) provides. It is so lovely to hear that your birth plan played out exactly how you planned and that the care you received met your expectations.

WNHS would certainly like to expand the MGP service for our families in the future as our numbers grow so that more women in the community can access care from the same small group of midwives for the duration of their pregnancy, labour and birth and in the postnatal period.

Thank you once again for the wonderful feedback. I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the MGP4 team, in particular Katie and Leanne.

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
