"Emergency Department"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I recently presented to ED with my child. He had split his hand open requiring a few stitches.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Porter Rob, Nurse Yvonne and Ian and Dr Michael (I think this was his name) and trainee Dr Ben. My son has ADHD and situations like this can be extremely stressful for him, but everyone was amazing, they were understanding and compassionate with both of us which reduces the stress on me as a parent in these times.

I am an employee of Bass Coast Health, which I had not disclosed to anyone until we were leaving, and am extremely thankful for the compassionate treatment we were provided: )

Dear jackpotfw54,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such wonderful feedback!

Feedback from our own staff as users of the health service is very important and it is such a nice feeling to see how proud and thankful our staff are of the care that their colleagues provide. It is always reassuring to know that the care we provide is at the standard we would expect for our own families.

We will pass on your kind comments to Rob, Yvonne, Ian, Drs Ben and Michael.

Regards

Lou
