"Amazing nursing care"

I would like to acknowledge Antonello (hope name spelt correctly) who is a vaccination nurse at the Central Immunisation Clinic at Rheola Street.

Having experienced a few different nurses at the clinic who I felt were not as helpful, it was refreshing to have Antonello who has a wonderful approach and, in my experience, goes above and beyond with needle-phobic children.

I have taken my two children to her a number of times. She is very calm, understands the fears children have and never pressurises them. Even when she is under pressure herself with clinic time, she recently took nearly an hour to talk to my daughter, ease her fears (while she was crying and shaking with severe anxiety) to the stage where the injection was successfully done. This is why I specifically ask for Antonello when I make appointments. Working in health myself, I feel it is important to recognise staff and Antonello is a great asset to the clinic team.
