"Bad interaction with a rude staff member"

About: Caboolture Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was treated at the Caboolture emergency department earlier this week and was able to stay overnight on their short stay cubicles. The nurses that attended to me were very kind and friendly and were helping me well with my pain. The admin (fast track reception) on the night was also very kind.

However, the next day around mid-morning when I was about to go out, I went to the admin (fast track reception) and presented my papers. I didn't know the process cause it is my first time. In my opinion, the staff member looked very unfriendly and asked me, where did you come from and who sent you here? And I am not Australian and it was hard for me to understand what they were saying cause it was very fast. And I believe their face suddenly looked angry and said, I don't know you, you know! I believe they didn't even bother to check my papers to know my name so they can find out. I can't open my jaw due to swelling so it was very hard for me to talk. I just pointed to the short stay area and then they said, then you're good to go! (with, I felt, a very rude voice). I was already in pain but their attitude gave me stress. I felt like I was devalued because I am not Australian.
