I took my friend to Northampton Hospital as she received a nasty dog bite and was in a bit of pain. Upon arrival she was greeted kindly by the receptionist and it wasn't very long before the Emergency Nurse Sheena took her and myself into the emergency department.
I can say that Sheena acted with courtesy, professionalism and kindness to my friend. I knew my friend was very anxious relating to her ordeal with the dog. Sheena recognised this and was most kind and explained everything to my friend that she was going to do for her. Her professionalism and empathy calmed my friend and, in my opinion, the contact she made with the doctor was great as well.
Her examination of my friend's bite was precise and was dressed very gently. Sheena explained all that my friend needed to do as she was to be followed up for an x-ray for further investigations in the ED at another hospital.
I want to say a huge thank you to all at Northampton Hospital and congratulate them on their exemplary service. Going to the other hospital was nowhere near as good an experience, but that's another story.
Once again I salute and thank Northampton Hospital and Sheena for such a great experience.
Sincerely,
"Excellence in Nursing Service"
