Feeling very frustrated after making a timely call (within a short period of time from when I received the referral form from the GP) to book an extra antenatal ultrasound for within the week so results would be back to my GP for next appointment, to be told by administration to email through request and they would check with sonographer and call back. Was not called back, 2 working days later called again to be told the same - likely can happen this week but need to check with sonographer. Called back to be told booked out and no appointments until the Friday (need it done before then).
I feel I should have been informed when originally called the department that it is unlikely a scan could occur within a week, as then I would have booked for another hospital and travelled there to ensure it occurred within the timeline.
This left me worried as I already require an extra ultrasound and frustrated that I had to follow up a number of times.
