Over the past several years my bladder has progressively become worse in bulging, my pelvic floor was not working as it should. I visited my GP who highly recommended I visit the St George Hospital pelvic floor physiotherapist.
My 1st visit with beautiful Donna was one where I felt nervous and didn't know what to expect before seeing Donna. Donna was extremely patient and gentle and explained the condition I have very well, with helpful advice and exercises to help. Donna then suggested the use of a pessary.
Donna explained & helped me with placement and how to remove & replace the pessary. Her guidance and patience were extremely good and made me feel at ease and able to ask questions. Even after leaving the hospital, I felt I was able to call if I needed any help.
The pessary has changed my life. I feel more comfortable in my body and not so scared that my bladder is going to fall out, I'm able to go to the toilet which much more ease.
Having the care from Donna helped me not feel silly, as I was initially very embarrassed by my situation, But the guidance and information from Donna helped put me at ease. The support from Donna meant so much I'm extremely grateful to her for helping me through this difficult situation. I feel having someone caring and easy to talk to has helped make this experience more comfortable.
