I was nine months clean when I relapsed. I used and spiralled and self-destructed for 10 weeks and was millimetres from losing my family, my friends and my job but then I accepted a spot in a rehab (Lives Lived Well Caboolture).

For the first time in almost three months, I felt hope - I knew if I could get myself there I'd be okay. I am writing this on my last day of the program teary-eyed with joy that I made the decision, as it was an experience I couldn't recommend more.

Sure it gave me my sobriety but what is invaluable is it gave me my self-respect, self-worth and confidence back, three things that addiction rudely stripped me of. What made this rehab, in particular, stand out was the team of staff that run and facilitate it I cannot thank them enough - brilliant and inspirational.

The restoration of your self-respect, worth and confidence, as well as sobriety, is a statement that is a book in itself. Thank you for your comments about what led you to Lives Lived Well's Rehab Program -Wunya - at Caboolture, and your experience of the program. It is amazing to have 'spiralling self-destruction', 'hope' and 'teary-eyed with joy' a sentence or two apart, and yet that is your experience as it has been for others as well.
