"My story is about my mum"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a carer),

My Mum took sick after a shoulder replacement. She had a bowel obstruction and blockage, was very sick and nearly passed away. 

The nurses and doctors in the ICU dept were absolutely fantastic. Their care of her and the information shared with the family was nothing but exceptional.

I believe these doctors and nurses are a credit to the hospital. I have very high regard for the hospital and the staff and would have no problems recommending Box Hill hospital to anyone.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to share the experience you and your Mum had when she underwent surgery at Eastern Health's Box Hill Hospital.

This must have been a very challenging time for you all and I was so pleased to read your reflection that the care and service of staff, and in particular the Intensive Care team provided the care your Mum needed.

It's clear to me the Eastern Health values of Patients First, Kindness, Respect, Excellence, Agility and Humility are practised each and every day, so thank you for acknowledging the team and the care provided.

Our staff provide the best care and service they can and your comments regarding recommending Box Hill Hospital to anyone is a testament to that. It will give me great pleasure to share your feedback with the team.

I trust your Mum continues to recover and is able to get back to living life to the fullest!
