"No communication about endoscopy referral"

About: Osborne Park Hospital / Gastroenterology Department

(as the patient),

I got referred by the GP to Central booking who gave my details to the endoscopy at Osborne Park (Category 2) a week after I went to the emergency department because of my inability to breathe.

The referral was back in mid-May 2021 and there has been no phone call. When I call hospital endoscopy, no one ever pick up to confirm if I am on the list.   Over this time I have attended 20 different appointments to see if is due to another issue. So far every day I feel nausea and most night halfway, I struggle to breathe. Prescribed some Anti acid which helps a bit but still ongoing for the last 4 months. Have been on sick leave half the time and just crying on most nights.

I am sorry to hear that you have been struggling with your health since May and can understand that you are anxious to identify the cause as soon as possible.
