My partner was on the outpatient waitlist for tonsils and adenoids removal due to a severe sleep apnea condition for around 3 or 4 years. They also required open-heart surgery for a heart valve replacement. Due to what I believe is a lack of communication between departments, my partner had their heart surgery prior to the tonsils. They have been advised due to being on blood thinners and a separate issue where they had blood clots develop, it is too risky to have this surgery now.
My partner resorted to having the CPAP machine but this is still an issue for them. One of the recent appointments they had, my partner was advised if they were admitted one week prior they might be able to go ahead with the tonsil surgery but that was 3 months ago no further info. Followed up with a call last week, still no referral re-submitted or further information to if this surgery is going to go ahead. Waiting on a call back again.
Slightly exhausted from having to call and follow up constantly with the outcomes and no communication between the hospital areas.
