About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Surgical Ward

(as the patient),

Recently, I had a stay at the Kalgoorlie Day Ward.

Greeted by Anne the ward clerk who was friendly and directed to the day room which was comfortable.

Was quickly seen by the Day Ward nurse Mat who was amazing. He was very professional, respectful and thorough in his nursing care towards me.

The PCA who collected me was really friendly and caring. She gave me a warm blanket when I got into theatre, which I was thankful for. The Anaesthetist Kevin and his nurse Amy were really friendly and gentle they explained everything and made me feel very comfortable. The Gyneacologist Dr Tilo and his female offsider were also very friendly and thorough.

Thank you to everyone that helped look after me. I was extremely happy with the care I received. Even the sandwiches given after surgery were really delicious.

Thank you for taking the time to share your very positive story about your experience at Kalgoorlie Hospital. Anne and Matt are wonderful people and consistently provide patient care that is professional and respectful.

Our PCA’s are our unsung heroes at Kalgoorlie Hospital, they are a truly amazing group of professionals, who go about their roles quietly and un-assuming, but without them, we would not be able to operate. I am glad to hear that you felt safe and comfortable in the care you received from our PCA, anaesthetic, gynaecology and surgical teams.

Our sandwiches are made by the great staff in the Kitchen who usually go un-recognised. So thank you for the show of appreciation.

I will ensure your positive feedback is forwarded on to all the staff involved in your care. I trust you are well on the road to recovery and continue to enjoy health and happiness in to the future.
