"Discharge process"

About: Joondalup Health Campus / Public Medical Ward

(as a relative),

My parent was admitted to Joondalup after a fall. Ringing the hospital, waited ages before anyone picked up, and when I finally got through as next of kin they wouldn’t give any information whatsoever. They were in the MAU for a few days where the care was fine, however, they discharged them home recently with an IV thing still in. Later that night we were advised to bring my parent back into ED to have it removed. Luckily a family friend knew what to do so we didn’t have to put my parent through that ordeal late at night.
