My firstborn was a somewhat traumatic birth experience for both my husband and I, so for my second I researched like crazy and came across studies claiming the benefits of midwifery-led care. We applied for the Community Midwifery Program and based on our experience, it was one of the best decisions we ever made.
I have had the same wonderful primary midwife Jayne for 3 pregnancies/labours now and the care is just incredible. The time and heart these lovely ladies put into their work is so felt and so appreciated! The support I've received from CMP North's team for each child has blown my husband and I away, whether it's been through advocating for our birth plan (Sue), supporting us when plans have had to change (Amanda), right through to the actual births (Jayne). I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering a homebirth or domino birth at the birth centre.
It's been an absolute pleasure getting to know the midwives there over the years especially Jayne and I'm so grateful for the role she's played in our family's life.
The midwives at MFAU were lovely as well. As my baby was 13 days past her due date, I had additional monitoring this time and the ladies there were so understanding and helpful, offering advice and happy to meet halfway when it came to planning an induction that I managed to avoid by a day.
"Blown away by the support and care from staff"
