My GP told me to go straight to hospital as my inflammatory markers were 300 and my pain level was 8 (at least). In Emergency Department Dr Tim welcomed me and worked out a plan which involved a CT scan. Later in the evening, Dr Mark arrived and certainly helped me feel in safe hands and even invited me to express what I felt had happened to bring me to this point. Dr Mark visited every day sharing results and information about the next test.
That evening, a very caring Kuranita welcomed me to Ward 1 and brought loads of humour (as most of the staff did and was what I needed). My bed was by the window which gave me much joy. Over my 6 day stay I was blessed to have many tests and checks and all the staff, including Maddie on discharge, were just amazing. I felt very supported by all. I am so impressed with the top quality nursing, the OT staff and last but not least my friend Alexandra who visited daily during her lunch and tea breaks to help in so many ways. I cannot speak highly enough of the marvellous care I received. Dr Tim was also very helpful so thanks to all.
The only thing was, I should've been made aware of what cost an Ambulance Transfer was between Busselton and Bunbury and return, as am not covered for this and I may have been able to choose another option.
Thank you to all involved in my care, as too many staff to mention.
