About: Hedland Health Campus / Maternity Unit

(as the patient),

I have recently had my baby at the South Hedland Health Campus. During my pregnancy I found the lack of appointments available to be absolutely unacceptable, having to wait 4 weeks in the final trimester due to I believe a lack of staff/midwives. This needs to be addressed it is not fair on the patient like myself or the staff. 

My experience having my baby was so magical. My midwives Lauren (unsure of surname) and Renee were amazing, doing everything in their power to make me as comfortable as possible. Renee delivered my baby safely and helped me through the process, again making me as comfortable as possible, nothing was too hard. I am so grateful to her.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience at Hedland Health Campus. Congratulations on the birth of your baby and I am glad that you had a magical experience. It truly is a special time. I hope that you are settled into your new family life.

I will certainly review the availability of antenatal appointments with senior medical, nursing and midwifery staff. We are currently reviewing all of the services being delivered through the Outpatient Department to ensure that we are able to provide timely access to the right clinics throughout the Pilbara region.
