"My medical procedure"

About: Derby Hospital / General Ward

(as the patient),

I had a procedure at Derby Regional Hospital. I was extremely anxious and scared about what was going to happen. I felt the nurses on general ward and especially the entire surgical team from the orderly to the doctors were fantastic. Not only did they tend to my medical needs but they were very reassuring and went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. Then after it was finished the care given to me in recovery and back on the ward was exceptional.

Thank you for your feedback uniformxe46.

Let me firstly tell you that I understand the natural levels of anxiety that comes with these necessary medical procedures, which can often feel stressful for anyone who requires them. It is so valuable when all staff involved make us feel safe and cared for to lessen this anxiety.

It always brings us great joy to hear positive feedback about our staff. We are already very proud of their professionalism and caring nature towards our patients, however, we never tire of hearing from our people like yourself who recognise the value in the work that they do. Every role in the hospital is vital to the care of our patients and I will make sure your feedback is shared with the team. We all hope you have a swift recovery and thank you for your kind words.
