"Waiting time and service availability"

About: Karratha Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I believe, when you arrive with a child after having already visited 3 days earlier and the wait is 4+hours for what was supposed to be a better service when the new hospital was built is a joke. It seems all that happened was a new building, seemingly no extra support for staff or patients. Why spend tax payers $ on a new building when I believe you can't support it with additional staff or services. Not even a 24hr xray service let alone mri?

Dear Another Parent,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Karratha Health Campus with us. Extended waiting times can be very stressful and I am sorry to read that this occurred for your child and you.

To better understand your child's patient journey I would like to further investigate the presentation in partnership with you, if you could kindly make contact with us here at Karratha Health Campus I would most appreciate that.

My name is Liam Avery and I am the acting Operations Manager for West Pilbara, I can be contacted via phone 9174 7639 and/or by email Liam.Avery@health.wa.gov.au.

Kind regards,

Liam Avery
