About: Broome Health Campus / Emergency Department

In my opinion, Broome's emergency department and staff is fantastic. After speaking to a midwife on the maternity ward over the phone, I was advised to go straight to ED for antibiotics as I was suffering from symptoms from mastitis. Due to there being no doctor appointments at the time of night, we went to ED at 5.30pm. Upon check in, I was sent to a COVID isolation area due to my fever, quickly seen to and taken seriously. Then due to fever and heart rate, I was seen within 5-10 minutes in the ED ward. Nurse and Doctor Dan were informed, friendly, and I felt at ease while feeling so sick. Ultrasound and antibiotics were given and we were sent home by 7pm.

Very relieved we were once again cared for and listened to by, in my opinion, some of the best carers in our countries health system! Thank you Broome Hospital!
