My operation was this month and from the moment I arrived, I was looked after by the wonderful positive staff. My operation was in the afternoon, in theatre (two and a half hours later), I met all the friendly staff. My only complaint was when the mask was plunked onto my face it frightened me which set of a panic attack, but I fell asleep. Upon awakening, I was looked after by a friendly nurse, then moved to cubicle 11.
I had dinner, the vegies were nice the meat yuk, I ended up having some sandwiches. The nursing staff I saw were great, especially Danny, she & her student nurse Aditi. I was sore but in no pain & got some sleep. I was seen by the doctors in the morning & I left mid-morning. I wrote a thank you letter when I got home.
