I had my baby last month at King Edward Memorial Hospital and received excellent care from MGP4.
I was very happy to be accepted into midwifery group practice care as I had felt during my first pregnancy that I would have liked to have had continuity of care.
My midwife Paula in MGP4 was excellent, very experienced and knowledgeable, and I felt that I was in good hands throughout my pregnancy, labour and birth and in the days following the birth of my daughter.
Having a known midwife was so reassuring, and the familiarity meant that I was more comfortable asking questions and discussing my pregnancy and preferences for birth, as well as not having to repeat myself to numerous midwives. It was very reassuring having a familiar face in the delivery room, and because Paula knew my history and birth preferences I felt at ease during a time that I was very nervous. I was so pleased with how my pregnancy, labour and birth went. I also received excellent care from a KEMH doctor when it was needed.
I would like to thank Paula, as well as the other MGP4 midwives and doctor that I saw for their excellent care, and KEMH for offering the midwifery group practice model of care.
"MGP4 excellent care"
