"Very well looked after"

About: Collie Hospital / Surgery

(as a carer),

When my elderly partner had a fall and fractured their ribs and punctured their lung the Collie Hospital immediately put in a drain for their lung and sent them by ambulance to another hospital.

When the drain was taken out my partner was sent back to Collie Hospital, and I have nothing but praise for all the staff who we dealt with, they kept me informed with what was happening. I believe they are very professional, caring, and I felt my partner was very well looked after.

The only criticism I have of the Collie Hospital is that the toilet in room 18 is only big enough for one which makes it very difficult if the patient need assistance, as my partner did.

Dear letsw58,

Thank you so much for your very kind feedback. Collie is lucky to have such a great team providing professional high quality care.

I'm glad you felt that your partner was "very well looked after", as that it what we aim for with all our patients.

In regards to the bathroom your concerns have been noted and we are looking at making some changes to make this space more user friendly. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

Barry Moroney
