I would just like to send a shout out to the girls at the Geraldton Community Health building with the Covid Vaccinations. I tried to use the 13Covid line, but found that was just useless and felt the online registration was just going around in circles.
I went in to try organise an appointment and get a booking. I was served by Amanda who I believe had a big smile and was happy to complete my registration and book my appointment. She found my partial attempt and explained my registration email probably went to my ‘junk’ email box, but it was no trouble to sort it out.
I would also like to say at the time I was at the reception desk, a very aggressive person was, in my opinion, ranting at both Amanda and the other receptionist Harmony. I recall this person seemed to be complaining and yelling they didn’t want a jab that would give them a blood clot. I found Amanda and Harmony were both very calm and I felt very stressed by the person's behaviour, it was not appropriate at all. Both ladies handled this I believe very well in the circumstances and should be acknowledged.
Overall, I think that the booking system needs to be changed as it is so hard to use. And I think some clear explanation of the vaccines to the public needs to be also addressed. In my opinion, more people will roll up if the system was easier. But please pass on my thoughts to the girls for their great customer service the day I was in.
