"Wonderful obstetric care and maternity services"

I recently had a beautiful baby boy and would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the health care professionals involved in our care and his entry into this world.

Firstly, I would like to thank Dr James and his team at the health practice. Wow, in my opinion, what an amazing GP Obstetrician! No words can describe how thankful I am for the amazing care you provided for myself and my baby boy. You were very informative, kind and supportive throughout my pregnancy journey making sure myself and baby were well cared for whilst also respecting my preferences wherever possible. You were also great with involving dad during delivery and with baby's care and the way you interact with bub is wonderful. You seem genuinely happy for your patients despite how many you must see every day and if/when I have more children I hope to have you as my GP Obstetrician again.

I would also like to mention that, based on my experience, the health practice staff are fabulous, the ladies on reception accommodating my appt needs and constant rescheduling due to my busy work schedule; and the wonderful nurses completing the pre-appt health checks that helped to keep things running on time.

A massive thank you also to the amazing midwives at SJOG; Kate, Keegan, Carmel, Ava and Miranda. I will be forever grateful for your help bringing my baby safely into this world and for the wonderful care you provided during our 5 day stay. With hormones and emotions running wild whilst recovering from a long labour, your support and reassurance when things seemed tough was perfect.

When it finally came time to go home, I was thrilled and ready to start family life, however I also shed a tear or two as I felt like I was leaving members of my baby's family behind.

I feel we are so very lucky to have such a wonderful health care team in Geraldton making the experience of having a baby just beautiful.
