Had to have a hysterectomy. I felt the surgery was a success in that, I understand there wasn't cancer in 99% of the organs removed thus confirming they seemingly also managed to stuff up every pre test they did. Went from diagnosed stage 3 to there was barely anything wrong so we took everything as a precaution.
But while there I believe I was neglected in care, I felt I was forced to share a room with someone with gastro despite seemingly 90% of ward being empty. Nurses, I recall, refused to change a water logged bandage for three days despite being asked repeatably. I understand this caused severe infection, loss of the ability to walk and severe pain and scarring with continues.
When reporting the negligence in my care, I feel they believe the complaints procedure is to make you feel better and does not inform change.
