"Invaluable care and support"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was fortunate enough to be a patient of the midwife group practice at King Edward. I felt the one on one care and support as a first time mum was invaluable- this especially came into play when I went into labour at 31 weeks.

The in-depth knowledge, empathy and support I received from my midwife Katy (and all midwives I had contact with) during my pregnancy made a huge difference to my confidence during pregnancy and gave me the insight into both my changing body and newborn baby that I feel I'd otherwise not know.

Having heard the experiences of other mums, I think there should be more access and resources for programs like this for all mums.

Dear importerqc76

Thank you for sharing your experience at King Edward Memorial Hospital and specifically, the supportive staff involved with your care through our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) and midwife Katy. I am pleased to hear our service made a huge difference to your knowledge and confidence both during your pregnancy and after your baby was born.

We are very proud of our staff and the empathetic service they provide and I will be sure to congratulate everyone involved in your care (especially Katy and our wonderful staff at the MGP).

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Yours sincerely,

Jodi Graham
