My parent had surgery at Armadale Hospital after a devastating diagnosis. The nursing care at the hospital was great with the exception of a single staff member.
The Clinical Nurse Manager of theatre (Jane) was exceptional in her response to my concerns about this staff member. She was calm, empathetic, engaged and willing to listen. She helped me to understand the process in theatre and how these processes could be improved in response to my concerns.
Further, she kept me updated about my parent's surgery and transfer to the ward. It was a very stressful day and Jane did all she could to help. She went above and beyond for us.
In my role as a Registered Nurse and health care assessor for the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, I would like the Armadale Hospital Executive to know that I believe Jane is a great Clinical Nurse Manager.
