(as the patient),

I'm an Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander.

 I'm in my 20s and have been smoking cannabis for quite some years. Didn't know I was going to give it up just like that. It's hard for some people to give up a drug, let alone alcohol, etc. that would put an impact on a person to try to get their kids back from Child Safety.

Having this service, Lives Lived Well Cairns, Pheby brought me a long way and giving me advice. I am so proud of myself and who I am. I'm trying to complete my goals and programs. 

If I can be an inspiration, I'd like to put it out there for my mob and other people and you's can do it.

Thank you for identifying your cultural heritage and for putting it out to your mob as an inspiration and encouragement.

Thank you, too, for your comments about the support you have received from staff at Lives Lived Well's Cairns office. It is great to hear their support has enabled you to take some big steps in your life as you work hard to get your kids back from Child Safety. That takes lots of courage and perseverance.
