"Physiotherapy recovery course"

About: Busselton Health Campus / Rehabilitation Service

(as the patient),

Recently, I experienced problems with balance and would unexpectedly go off course walking. Changing positions (e.g. from sitting to standing) I would stumble and dizzy, a couple of times nearly falling.

The Aged Care programme suggested a recovery course of eight weeks (one hour per week). This I did, and found it very beneficial being shown exercises to strengthen and increase mobility with confidence. To do this at our own pace and ability to extend it if possible.

I found Bev and Michelle were efficient and friendly changing the routine and challenges each week. I felt that Carolyn's suggestions for ongoing activities and goal setting are appreciated.

Since then I have started low impact exercises and Tai Chi sessions and also slowly losing weight. It's important to continue with the process.
