Recently, I spoke to a very, very helpful lady.

The best help I’ve ever had, on this occassion. I have had this same lady before who has been very, very careful and explains well. I have had other experiences where I have come out feeling misunderstood and frustrated. I felt the attention I got on this occasion was excellent and that was very good. On other occasions I have left feeling bewildered.

I’d just got to the stage where I dreaded going. We have to use PATS a few times, for my partner to have surgery. We will have to go again in a month or so and I am apprehensive about going back.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Patient Assisted Travel Scheme (PATS) team.

I was so pleased that our staff were able to provide you with excellent support and assistance with your application. The PATS team do a great job in coordinating the travel arrangements for our community members who often have to travel long distances for specialist medical care and I have passed your compliment on to the team. Our staff aim to provide a high level of professional, quality care that WA Country Health Service can be proud of.

I would like to apologise that some of your experiences with PATS have not been as positive as this one. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak to you about all of your experiences so that we can improve our service delivery for all consumers.
