(as the patient),

During my pregnancy I was looked after by midwife Lily who I found was amazing at her job. She made me feel like I was being well looked after and informed throughout my whole pregnancy down to my last day as I prepared for labour.

Lily missed half my labour as I believe it was her day off however made it in as soon as she could when she heard baby was coming. While she was on her way, the other midwives made me feel super comfortable and relaxed.

So far the best hospital experience I’ve ever had thanks to Lily and the rest of the team!

Dear requirementsm75,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby and thank you so much for taking the time to post an opinion about your stay at Broome Hospital Maternity Unit, particularly as being a new mum is a very busy time.

Reading your story made me extremely proud of our maternity unit. Lilly is one of our MGP midwives and is certainly dedicated to her position and the women and families that she supports through our continuity of care model. Providing a safe and relaxed environment is what all of our midwives strive for when they care for women during their pregnancy and birthing journey. I am certainly glad this was your experience through your whole experience within the unit. I will make sure your feedback is presented to them all with particular mention to Lilly.
