"Bad alcohol use"

I used alcohol because I was not able to see my children. I couldn't shake the bad habit and I made bad decisions due to alcohol use. Then I came to a realization that I needed to separate myself from home and alcohol. So I admitted myself to Shanty Creek Rehab for the help that I needed.

From the moment I got in I felt welcomed. There are certain programs such as Men's Group by Heta which I feel was awesome. It helped me a lot and also AOD groups were helpful. I found the gym and the outings on the weekend were good and they helped me not feel so isolated. I felt I met half way with certain needs such as using a mobile phone for music without the sim card. I recall I was looked after when I got sick.

In my experience, the staff were awesome and now I feel like my best. I am back to being me. My anxiety is gone and now I can go out and be in a shopping centre, I am able to eat again. I have got no cravings for marijuana and alcohol anymore. I feel like my best again.
